A substantial part of your stay at Nhoma Safari Camp goes to the community for sharing their traditional knowledge.
We are proud of the healthy symbiosis between the village and the tourism operation. Besides salaries and bed levies, part of your fee also goes to the village elder for operating on the family's n!ore (their ancestral land). We lease the land from the community.
Furthermore, the income is re- invested with the leading principal to spend investments locally and share the success with our village. In addition, this means building as much as possible with local materials with local employment and thereby reducing carbon pollution for transport and in general keeping the carbon footprint of our enterprise to a minimum.
